Podcasting


In simple terms a Podcast is an auditory file created by teachers or students to re-purpose information collected from a variety of sources to deepen understanding.

Normally a Podcast is a push technology in that the person listening to the podcast can subscribe (through iTunes etc) and recieve a regularly installment of an auditory (podcast) or video (vodcast) file.
For example you MAY listen to Dr Karl Podcast every week. For ease we also call an audio file created by a student or teacher a podcast (technically it isn't but...)

There are a number of ways to create a podcast
1. On the MAC platform - often Garage Band is used
2. On the Windows side - often Audacity is used
